029. The Practice of Studio Practice

Damien Hirst once spoke about “the horror of being in a studio with a blank canvas,” and we all know what he means. Whether you are a fine artist, designer, filmmaker, writer or any other ilk within the creative spectrum, studio practice is something of a love/hate relationship. We love to be in our studios, but we can sometimes hate that the time doesn’t always produce a quick, linear path to completed work, financial security, visionary ideas or whatever metric for success you might have.

In this episode, Ryan and Garreth share stories about studios that have inspired them, studio practices that have encouraged them, and why you should never ask an artist for a swig from their soda bottle. Sit back and dig in!
