048. The Need for Critique

With the start of a new semester on the horizon, a lot of thoughts turn to school and all the things that define art school. Whether you are a teacher, an artist who has gone through art school, or a student currently hip deep in it, we all have been a part of critiques.

And we don’t all love the idea.

On this week’s episode, Ryan and Garreth sit down to talk about why the critique is such an important part of the experience and process of being an artist or designer. Critiques should never be about being simply critical; instead, they should help us see our work in new ways and help us strive to be better at what we do.
